Mindfulness, connectedness to nature, personal ecological norm and pro-environmental behavior: A daily diary study

The concept of mindfulness has been discussed as being a promising pathway to strenghten pro-environmental behavior, that is at the same time related personal well-being. Several studies identified correlations between trait and behavior (PEB) different mediators. To obtain better, fine-grained insights into this connection, present study investigated predictor same-day connectedness nature, ecological norm activation (PENA), PEB well-being on within-person level. In daily diary (N = 183, days 1197), multilevel regression analysis showed: (i) positive relationships PENA, nature well-being; (ii) significant effect next-day PEB; (iii) regular mind-body practices, such meditation, PEB.
